HDR (Omaha), Neb.), a global engineering, architecture, environmental, and construction firm, is expanding its presence in Southern California with a new studio in San Diego.

Valerie DeLoach, education and science associate principal, has been named to lead the new studio.

The expansion is in response to an increased demand for biotechnology, life sciences, and healthcare facility projects. The new location will complement the firm’s existing transportation and water engineering practices in Southern California.
