Houston Methodist Breaks Ground On New Campus
Houston Methodist (Houston) broke ground on a new 106-acre campus in Cypress, Texas.
The 570,700-square-foot project will include a seven-story hospital and two, six-story medical office buildings (MOBs). A 162,900-square-foot MOB will house a cancer center with a linear accelerator and a bridge connector to the new hospital tower and a 160,200-square-foot MOB will include a sports and orthopedic rehabilitation clinic.
The project also calls for renovating an existing 29,000-square-foot central utility plant.
The project team comprises Page (architect; Houston), McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (general contractor; St. Louis), Walter P. Moore (structural and civil engineer; Houston), SSR (MEP; Nashville, Tenn.), and OJB (landscape architect; Houston).
It is slated for completion by the end of 2024.
