Indiana University Health To Invest $287M In Expanding Footprint

Plans include increasing the square footage of its Saxony Hospital campus.

Indiana University Health (IU Health; Indianapolis) is investing $287 million in its facilities, including an expansion of its IU Health Saxony Hospital campus in Fishers, Ind., which will be renamed IU Health Fishers, and the addition of off-site outpatient services.

The hospital project will add 50 new inpatient beds for a total of 88; new and expanded services for obstetrics and gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, nephrology, neurology, and pulmonology; advanced programs for cardiovascular, gastroenterology, general medicine, orthopedics, primary care, and urology; and more support service space for the additional staff and increased patient volumes.

Groundbreaking for the hospital expansion is scheduled for late 2022 with completion expected in 2025.
