Healthcare provider Inova (West Falls Church, Va.) has marked construction milestones with the topping out of two new campuses in Alexandria, Va., according to a news release.
The Inova Alexandria campus, located on the former Landmark Mall site, will house 192 private inpatient beds. Services will include cardiac and neurosciences, women’s health, and outpatient specialty care. The campus will also feature a new standalone Inova Schar Cancer Center.
The Inova Franconia-Springfield campus, being developed on a separate site as an expansion of the existing Inova HealthPlex, will house 110 inpatient beds. It will provide emergency care as well as outpatient orthopedic and surgical services.
Ballinger (McLean, Va.) and Ennead Architects (New York) are co-designing both campuses. Clark Construction (McLean, Va.) is serving as general contractor for the Alexandria campus, while DPR Construction (Richmond, Va.) is leading construction on the Franconia-Springfield campus.
Both campuses are expected to be completed in 2028.
