Construction is nearly complete on the new $70 million, 67,000-square-foot Joan Secchia Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich., according to Michigan Contractor & Builder.
The facility is expected to open this fall and will be jointly operated by Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation (Grand Rapids) and Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. A pedestrian skybridge is designed to connect the new building with the Mary Free Bed Grand Rapids campus.
The project comprises 24 private inpatient rooms, treatment areas, a classroom, and dedicated indoor and outdoor areas for specialized therapy services.
Pure Architects (Grand Rapids) is the architect on the project, with Granger Construction (Grand Rapids) serving as general contractor.
