Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) has started construction on a second hospital in Jupiter, Fla., according to a news release.

The 53,000-square-foot project comprises 29 inpatient beds, four operating rooms (ORs), a 24-hour emergency department (ED), diagnostic lab, and imaging services. A 47,000-square-foot medical office building (MOB) is also being developed adjacent to the new hospital. Both facilities are expected to open in early 2028.

The facilities are part of The Health Park at Avenir, a healthcare campus within the master-planned community of Avenir, Fla. Future plans call for two additional 2-story, 25,000-square-foot MOBs.

Sina Companies (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) is the developer on the project, and Black Diamond Construction (Miami) is serving as general contractor.
