Maui Health Foundation (Wailuku, Hawaii) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the Nan and Wayne Kocourek Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) at Maui Medical Center in Wailuku, according to mauinow.com.

The facility will adjoin the emergency department (ED) and offer streamlined diagnosis and improved care for patients requiring immediate life-saving intervention, as well as outpatient monitoring.

The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
