Mount Sinai Health System Breaks Ground On ICU In Queens, New York

The project will add 13 intensive care unit beds on the sixth floor of the hospital’s main building.

Mount Sinai Health  System (New York) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on an intensive care unit (ICU) in Queens, N.Y., according to a news release.

The project will add 13 ICU beds to the hospital’s existing eight and include a Class 2 procedure room designed to support moderate-risk surgical or interventional procedures.

Construction is expected to take 16 months to complete.
