New York Medical Center Opens In Hanover, New York

The new facility specializes in behavioral health and addiction recovery.

New York Medical Center has opened in the Irving neighborhood of Hanover, N.Y., according to Observer Today.

The behavioral health and substance use recovery facility occupies the site of the former Lakeshore Hospital. It begins operating with 20 inpatient beds and five specialized detox beds.

By 2028, the center is expected to house a total of 162 beds, including 25 beds designated for woman and child residential care for new mothers; 12 pediatric behavioral health beds; 20 adolescent behavioral health beds; 40 adult behavioral health beds; and 40 geriatric behavioral health beds.
