Northwell Health (New York) has opened a new post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., according to a news release.
The $25.7 million, 11,400-square-foot project repurposes former operating room space to support complex surgical procedures.
The 42-bed PACU includes 40 recovery bays, two isolation rooms, a frozen section laboratory, and upgraded staff locker rooms.
