NYU Langone Health (New York) has received local government approval for a $650 million expansion and renovation project at NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue, N.Y., according to hoodline.com.
The project is set to renovate the hospital’s original 1956 building and build a new 7-story, 270,000-square-foot pavilion housing 144 beds as well as medical, surgical, and intensive care units.
Upon completion, the hospital is expected to increase its capacity from 255 to 306 patient rooms, with some existing double-occupancy rooms being converted to private rooms.
