Phoenix VA Outpatient Clinic Completes Construction

The 275,000-square-foot project includes a mental health, telehealth, and education services.

The Phoenix VA Health Care System (Phoenix) and developer U.S. Federal Properties (Kansas City, Mo.) finished construction on a five-story VA outpatient clinic in Phoenix.

Situated on 15 acres, the 275,000-square-foot Phoenix VA Outpatient Clinic includes multispecialty and telehealth services, an education center, pathology, and imaging. A full kitchen and canteen for staff and patients is located on the first floor, while the outpatient mental health clinic is housed on the second floor and 180 exam rooms on floors three, four, and five.

The project team includes Hoefer Welker (Kansas City; architect), Jacobsen Construction (general contractor), Smith & Boucher (MEP; Olathe, Kan.), Bob D. Campbell & Co. (structural engineer, Kansas City); Dibble Engineering (civil engineer; Phoenix); Protection Engineering Consultants (blast engineers; Dripping Springs, Texas); FSC Inc. (life safety; Overland Park, Kan.); ARUP (sustainability consultant and climatic analyst); and Gates + Associates (landscape architect; Walnut Creek, Calif.).
