The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (Scottsdale, Ariz.) broke ground on the Journey to Recovery Residential Treatment Facility in Scottsdale. (For more on behavioral health, go here.)

The 48,000-square-foot project will house residential units, community spaces, a commercial kitchen, meeting rooms and counseling offices, ceremonial talking circle, and outdoor gazebos and courtyards. Services will include withdrawal management, substance use treatment, and crisis stabilization.

Construction on the residential treatment facility is expected to be completed in fall 2024.

The project team includes design firm DLR Group.
