Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), a engineering firm, has acquired Strategic Hospital Resources (SHR), an Atlanta-based medical equipment planning firm.

SSR will immediately combine operations with the global FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) planning and clinical consulting firm. Debbie Heitzman, SHR’s former CEO, and all former SHR colleagues will remain.

The newly acquired team assists hospitals, architects, and developers with medical equipment planning services throughout a project life cycle, including inventory, procurement, transition planning, and move management.
