Trinity Health Livingston Hospital has opened in Brighton, Mich., according to a news release from SmithGroup (Ann Arbor, Mich.), the project architect.

The 4-story, 174,000-square-foot facility replaces an existing hospital and integrates inpatient, outpatient, and cancer treatment on one campus. The building connects to Trinity Health Medical Center – Brighton, an existing outpatient center, via a new 2-story connector. The outpatient center was renovated to align clinically and operationally with the new hospital. The new connector unifies surgical and clinical departments on the second level, improving operational flow.

Trinity Health Livingston includes 56 acuity-adaptable inpatient rooms designed to support ICU-level care, allowing flexibility to accommodate changing patient needs without requiring transfers.
