Tufts Medicine And Arcadia Healthcare To Partner On Behavioral Health Center

The 144-bed project will house inpatient and outpatient care and serve as a teaching facility with Tufts University School of Medicine.

Integrated healthcare system Tufts Medicine (Boston) and behavioral health provider Acadia Healthcare (Franklin, Tenn.) are planning a $65 million behavioral health hospital at the site of the former Malden Hospital, in Malden, Mass.

The 144-bed project will offer inpatient behavioral health and outpatient programs, as well as serve as a teaching hospital with Tufts University School of Medicine.

Tufts Medicine is donating land for the project, with 9.5 acres to be preserved as community space, and Acadia will operate the facility.
