UNC Health Blue Ridge Breaks Ground On Cancer Center In North Carolina

The $38.3 million facility is part of a larger campus addition and renovation project.

UNC Health Blue Ridge (Morganton, N.C.) broke ground on a new cancer center on its campus in Valdese, N.C., as part of a 34,272-square-foot addition and renovation project.

The new cancer center will include an infusion therapy and treatment area; medical and radiation oncology exam, consultation, and treatment rooms; and two linear accelerators. Dedicated space for education, support, and group therapy is also planned.

Construction on the center is expected to be completed in August 2023.

Brasfield & Gorrie (Birmingham, Ala.) is the general contractor for the project.
