University Of Louisville Health Facility Plans $60M Expansion

The project will include 40 inpatient beds, 10 ICU beds, and 30 surgical beds.

University of Louisville Health (UofL Health; Louisville, Ky.) is expanding its UofL Health – Medical Center South in Shepherdsville, Ky., according to an article in whas11.com.

The project, renamed UofL Health – South Hospital, will add two floors to the existing structure with 40 inpatient beds, 10 intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and 30 surgical beds, with the ability to flex up to 80 beds.

The $60 million project is scheduled to open in spring 2023. The facility will remain open during construction.
