UPMC Plans 636-bed Hospital

Construction of the 871,462-square-foot project is scheduled to begin this summer.

UPMC (Pittsburgh) is planning a new 636-bed hospital adjacent to its UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, according to an article in post-gazette.com.

The 871,462-square-foot facility will include 4,800 square feet of retail and restaurant space and enough parking for about 450 cars.

The 17-story project will feature a glass façade with solar shades and metal panels at the top.

UPMC plans to break ground on the project this summer.
