VA Completes Adaptive Reuse Project In Detroit
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA; Washington, D.C.) renovated a former insurance agency office into a VA domiciliary and health clinic in Detroit.
The health clinic offers behavioral and mental health counseling, rehabilitation treatment, and wellness programming services.
Additionally, the 32,248-square-foot project includes 50 transitional residential units, with 40 units slated for male residents and 10 designated as secured rooms for female veterans, along with a females-only lounge and laundry area.
A computer lab, therapy rooms, dining room, clubhouse, indoor and outdoor multipurpose spaces, and administrative offices are also included.
