The Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS; Tacoma, Wash.) is planning to open a new behavioral health project in Mount Vista, Wash., according to the website

Situated on 11.84 acres, the project will include three single-story buildings each with 16 beds. Services will include medical screening, psychiatric and risk screening, psychological/biological/social evaluation, treatment, and peer support.

The DSHS will operate one facility and the Washington State Health Care Authority (Olympia, Wash.) will contract teams to run the other two facilities.

The project team includes BWBR (behavioral health planner; St. Paul, Minn.) and BCRA (architect of record; Tacoma).
