Durham Spine & Pain Institute: Centrally positioned between the imaging and treatment rooms, the hub-and-spoke nurse’s station is framed by a wood-slatted acoustic ceiling and screen. Along the main corridor, a finer lattice screen filters natural light to reduce glare, while integrated benches provide moments of respite or space for companion assistance. Curved detailing at the nurses’ station and tapered bench edges are designed to minimize trip and bump hazards.
