To solve one of the sources of stress associated with the existing hospital, the project team eased patient access to the replacement facility by introducing multiple entrances, allowing patients to quickly access the services they need without traversing the whole building. Ground-level parking was also provided by moving 1 million cubic yards of dirt to reach the necessary grade.
