Prisma Health Northeast Medical Park, Columbia, South Carolina
Opened in October 2025, Prisma Health’s Northeast Medical Park in Columbia, S.C., is designed to expand outpatient capacity and improve care coordination in one of the Midlands’ fastest-growing regions.
Owned by Prisma Health (Greenville, S.C.), the 4-story ambulatory care center centralizes outpatient services traditionally delivered in hospitals or separate medical office buildings, including specialty care, imaging, pharmacy, and lab services.
Centralizing outpatient services at Prima Health’s Northeast Medical Park
McMillan Pazdan Smith (Greenville, S.C.), which served as architect and interior designer on the project, focused on operational efficiency and patient flow. The building is organized to support high-throughput services on the ground floor, such as imaging, laboratory, surgery, rehabilitation, and a full-service pharmacy with drive-through access.
The upper floors accommodate 110 exam rooms across a broad range of specialty clinics, including primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, vascular care, pain medicine, and behavioral health services.
Two centers of excellence in cardiology and orthopedics anchor the clinical program, supported by four advanced operating rooms and a dedicated ambulatory surgery center, which broadens access to same-day surgical procedures.
