Cambridge Children’s Hospital Project Selects Builder In England

A project to build Cambridge Children’s Hospital in Cambridge, England, reached a milestone as a builder was selected, according to the BBC.

General contractor Buoygues UK is expected to start construction within the next 18 months on the 5-story specialty children’s hospital. The new hospital will house 108 inpatient beds, 16 pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) beds, seven operating theaters, imaging and diagnostics, and a hospital school alongside a new research institute.

The project is a partnership between Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, and the University of Cambridge.
