The project team has been selected for Phase 1 of a redevelopment of Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH; Windsor, Ontario, Canada) as Fancsy Family Hospital, according to renewcanada.net.
Diamond Schmitt Architects (Toronto) is leading the planning and design for the works phase, and contractor EllisDon (London, Ontario, Canada) will serve as the construction manager.
The first phase will include the construction of essential site support infrastructure for the new hospital, as well as an administration center with an auditorium, simulation training center, classrooms, and office space for support staff.
A multilevel parking garage is also planned and will connect to the new hospital.
Construction is expected to start by early 2026, with the first phase scheduled to be completed in three years.
