New York Medical Center Plans To Redevelop Vacant Hospital As New Behavioral Health Center

The $42 million, 173,000-square-foot project in In Irving, N.Y., is expected to be completed in two phases, starting with inpatient units and then outpatient, therapy, dining, and administrative spaces.

New York Medical Center (Irving, N.Y.) plans to redevelop the vacant former Lakeshore Hospital into a new behavioral health and substance use recovery center in Irving, N.Y., according to beckersbehavioralhealth.com.

The $42 million, 173,000-square-foot project will be completed in two phases starting with inpatient units. Later, outpatient, therapy, dining, and administrative spaces will be added.

The new facility will house 180 beds.
