Health First Plans 5-Story Tower Expansion Of Viera Hospital In Rockledge, Florida

Healthcare provider Health First (Rockledge, Fla.) is moving forward with plans for a new 5-story tower at Viera Hospital in Rockledge, according to a news release.

The provider’s board of directors authorized development of a master plan for the project, which will double patient capacity at the hospital to 214 beds.

As part of the expansion, the hospital will add 64 inpatient beds, two operating rooms (ORs), a cardiac catheterization (Cath) lab, and 10-bed clinical decision unit, as well as expand emergency department (ED) capacity and imaging and support spaces.

The project will also create shell space for up to 32 inpatient beds, two ORs, a cardiac Cath lab, and support space.
