Integrated healthcare system Mass General Brigham (Boston) plans to replace its aging inpatient tower at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston’s Longwood neighborhood, according to a news release

The replacement inpatient tower will house all private patient rooms and will enable co-location of care teams focused on disease areas, which aligns with Mass General’s efforts to create disease-focused multidisciplinary institutes.

The project still needs approval from city and state officials, but the goal is for the new building to be operational by the 2030s.
