UCI Health Nears Completion On All-electric Acute Care Hospital In Irvine, California

The 7-story, 350,000-square-foot hospital project is the capstone of a $1.3 billion medical campus and will house 144 beds, a 10-suite surgical floor, and dining room.

University of California Health, Irvine (UCI Health; Irvine, Calif.) has reached significant completion and is set to open this winter UCI Health – Irvine, a new all-electric acute care hospital in Irvine, Calif., according to a news release.

The capstone of a $1.3 billion medical campus, the new 7-story, 350,000-square-foot hospital will house 144 private inpatient beds, a 10-suite surgical floor, and a dining room and patio.

The hospital offers a range of services for specialties including cancer, cardiology, digestive health, neurology, orthopedics, and spine care. Also on-site are advanced imaging, lab, and pharmacy services, as well as a 24-hour emergency department with 20 treatment rooms.
