The International Interior Design Association (IIDA; Chicago) has appointed Mark Bryan to the newly created role of chief research and strategy officer, focused on expanding IIDA’s research and global insights capabilities, according to a release from IIDA.
Additionally, Bryan will lead the organization’s IIDA Futures, a new brand within IIDA’s Chicago headquarters that consolidates the association’s work in foresight practice, including its Certified Design Futurist course.
His career includes an extensive background in design and research, working for clients across the U.S., such as national foundations, healthcare systems, and senior living facilities. Bryan also served as IIDA’s futurist-in-residence and was instrumental in developing and proctoring the Certified Design Futurist course.
