Birmingham Children’s Hospital unveiled an 84-seat MediCinema movie theater at its facility in Birmingham, U.K., according to BBC News.

The $1.3 million project converted a former lecture hall at the hospital. The amenity space will operate as a movie theater during evenings and weekends, while remaining available for staff training and education during the day.

The healthcare organization highlighted that the theater provides a dedicated space for patients and their families, some of whom spend weeks or months in the hospital, to spend time together away from the care wards.
