Regional One Health Receives State Approval To Build New $1B Hospital In Memphis, Tennessee

Regional One Health (Memphis, Tenn.) has received approval from the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission to build a new $1 billion replacement hospital in Memphis, according to actionnews5.com.

The hospital will be located on the site of a former newspaper building, with demolition starting this spring. The project is expected to be completed in 2031 after an 18-24-month design phase and a four-year build.

The design of the facility will be led by HDR (Omaha, Neb.), partnering with local firms Self + Tucker Architects (Memphis), brg3s Architects (Memphis), Meticulous Design + Architecture (Memphis), and Cornerstone Engineering (Maryville, Tenn.).
