The entry point to this immersive facility begins at the redesigned hospital entrance, which welcomes patients into an efficient reception and registration area.
IOS (Lima, Ohio) includes a brand-new 28-bed perioperative suite, an epidural clinic, and an urgent care clinic with x-ray capabilities to handle all urgent orthopaedic conditions. The patient experience is enhanced with nine private patient rooms and 15 private observation rooms. Three additional state-of-the-art operating rooms were added adjacent to the existing three, doubling procedure capacity. With increased procedure capacity, the existing central sterile services suite was expanded and completely renovated, with state-of-the-art cleaning and sterilization equipment. The facility also includes newly equipped lab and pharmacy suites, providing comprehensive care to patients. The building exterior was transformed, eliminating the dated, generic façade and mansard roofs. Now, IOS carries a modern, expressive form that mirrors the excellent care they are committed to providing. Redesign at this facility now provides patients and providers with increased privacy, acoustics, access to food, cleanliness, comfort, ease of access, and safety measures.
