Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Hospital Begins Construction In New York City

The project repositions a 1962 building on The Mount Sinai Hospital campus as a 300,000-square-foot cancer treatment facility.

Mount Sinai Health System (New York) has started construction on the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Hospital in New York City, according to a news release.

The 300,000-square-foot project is being designed by KPF Architects (New York) as an adaptive reuse of a 1962 building on The Mount Sinai Hospital campus on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Plans for the facility include 72 acuity-adaptive patient rooms, a dedicated oncology care unit, and wellness amenities for inpatients and outpatients.

The hospital is expected to open in 2030.
