A COVID-19 alternate care facility for non-critical patients is being planned at the National Guard Youth Challenge Academy facility in Milledgeville, Ga., according to an article in WGXA.

The 80-bed project will be centrally located to other medical facilities throughout Georgia. Each room will be equipped with hospital beds and privacy walls. Medical supplies will be relocated from the minimally used 200-bed COVID-19 alternate care facility at the Georgia World Congress Center to the new care site.

Completion of the project is expected in early July.
