Atrium Health To Add Radiation Therapy Facility In North Carolina

The facility will be part of the Levine Cancer Institute and is scheduled to open in 2023.

Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute (Charlotte, N.C.) is planning a Center for Advanced Radiation Therapy in Charlotte.

The project will provide proton beam therapy and gamma knife radiosurgery and will include a three-story rotating proton gantry weighing 300,000 pounds.

The center is scheduled to open in 2023; E4H Environments for Health Architecture (Washington, D.C.) will serve as the project designer.
