Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia Plans $1.9B Inpatient Tower

The 22-story building will house 300 beds and is expected to open in 2027.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is planning an expansion that will allow it to accommodate more patients.

The nonprofit hospital will construct a new 22-story inpatient tower featuring 300 private patient beds, with space for 200 more. CHOP currently has 560 beds and is often operating near full capacity.

The $1.9 billion inpatient tower is slated to open in 2027.
