Florida State University Health Plans New Acute Care Hospital In Panama City Beach, Florida

The $414 million project will accommodate up to 180 beds and offer emergency medicine, general surgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiac care, neurology, and orthopedics.

Florida State University Health (FSU Health; Tallahassee, Fla.) has announced plans to build a new acute care hospital in Panama City Beach, Fla., according to a news release.

The $414 million project will accommodate up to 180 beds and offer emergency medicine, general surgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiac care, neurology, and orthopedics.

The academic hospital system has acquired 16.5 acres of land for the project, which is scheduled to open in 2028.
