McCarthy Building Companies (St. Louis) held a ceremony to mark the topping out for the new Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas, according to a news release.
The 365,000-square-foot project will house 52 beds, with pediatric and women’s care services including acute and intensive care, dialysis, a heart center, and a sleep center. Also part of the project are an on-site urgent care and adjacent 170,000-square-foot outpatient facility housing subspecialties such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, fetal care, and dialysis.
The project broke ground in May 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
