Medical Center Nears Completion In Connecticut

Community hospital Hartford HealthCare (Torrington, Conn.) and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (Torrington) are nearing completion of a new healthcare center in Winsted, Conn., according to an article in the Register Citizen.

The 30,000-square-foot project, Hartford HealthCare Health Center at Winsted, will house an emergency department with diagnostic imaging, mammography, outpatient blood draw, primary and specialty care, cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation, occupational and physical therapy, and regional paramedic services. CT scanner services and a helicopter landing pad are also planned.

The new building is scheduled to open in spring of 2020.
