Provider Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.) is planning a 161,000-square-foot hospital in Charlotte, N.C., according to an article in Charlotte Business Journal.

The $154 million project, South Charlotte Medical Center, will have 36 acute care beds, two operating rooms (ORs), and a dedicated cesarean section OR.

Opening is slated for 2023.
