Utah state officials said Mountain America Expo Center, an event center transformed into a COVID-19 alternate care site, will be reopened in Sandy, Utah, if area hospitals reach capacity, according to an article in ABC4 News.

The project will have 260 beds including cribs, with the capacity to expand up to 1,000 beds. An on-site pharmacy can also be rebuilt in less than 24 hours if necessary.

The site was initially set up between April and June 2020.
