Austin Convention Center Transforms Into COVID-19 Field Hospital

The 25-bed project has capacity to expand.

The Austin Convention Center (Austin, Texas) has been activated as a COVD-19 field hospital for low-acuity patients, according to an article in KXAN.

The facility, which was readied in July 2020, has 25 beds with capacity to expand as needed.

The project is in collaboration with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (Austin) and the Capital Area Trauma Regional Advisory Council (Austin).
