St. Peter’s Health Partners (Albany, N.Y.) and Albany County in New York are collaborating on a temporary COVID-19 overflow hospital at the county’s Shaker Place senior living community, according to an article in wamc.org.
A 160-bed section of the senior living community will house COVID-19 patients who do not require acute care services. The care area has a separate entrance and ventilation system and will be staffed by St. Peter’s Health Partners.
