HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare (Davie, Fla.), has reached a construction milestone on a tower expansion project in Loxahatchee, Fla., according to a news release.

The project comprises 42 medical-surgical patient rooms and two classrooms across 72,184 square feet of new space, as well as renovations to the hospital’s main entrance and lobby. The new tower also is designed to accommodate future inpatient and outpatient floors.

Additionally, the hospital is expanding its emergency department (ED), adding a nurses’ station, 10 exam rooms, and an admissions desk.

Layton Construction (Salt Lake City) is serving as general contractor on both projects. The tower expansion is expected to be completed in spring 2027, and the expanded ED is on track for a summer 2027 opening.
