Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital Nears Opening In Malden, Massachusetts

The $65 million, 144-bed behavioral health hospital houses intensive outpatient and inpatient services.

Tufts Medicine (Boston) and development partner Acadia Healthcare (Franklin, Tenn.) have completed construction on Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital in Malden, Mass., according to Boston Business Journal.

The $65 million, 144-bed behavioral health hospital is expected to open to patients in the first quarter of 2026 with intensive outpatient services as well as inpatient care for patients of all ages.

The new facility also will serve a teaching hospital within the Tufts network.
